TULUM MEXICO RETREAT | April 6-12, 2015

Join Tim Kelleher and Georgia Reath for 7 days and 6 nights in Tulum, Mexico. We’ll stay at Amansala Chica, the eco-chic resort and spa in the Riviera Maya from April 6 to 12, 2015. Located on a stretch of private beach 90-miles south of Cancun on the Yucatan Peninsula, the tranquil and sacred setting is known for its white sand, turquoise water, balmy breeze, bright sun and Mayan ruins. Chica is Amansala’s newest addition. Its architecture embodies the signature style of Amansala with white stones, driftwood, and thatched roofs with staircases that weave together the various spaces within the resort.

Georgia and Tim will bring the mind-body-blowing yoga and the rest will be at your toe tips: frolic on the beach, take a siesta in the hammock, bike to town with a new friend, visit the gentle ruins that sit dramatically on the coastline, snorkel along the reef, dive into the mineral-rich cenotes where the mayans communicated with the gods, get a full-body mud-mask or indulge in the locally-sourced fresh Mexican fare.

What more do you need to convince you to get on this NOW?

MEET THE TEAM

TIM KELLEHER loves yoga and thinks you will too. He stumbled into a led primary series at a gym in 2003 and has been on a mat ever since. A steady practice helped Tim heal from years of physical and emotional trauma, reconnect with his body, focus his mind and bring a sense of joy and clarity into his daily life. Tim draws on a wide range of styles and movement modalities to create joyful, powerful flows. He believes a healthy body leads to a deeper breathe; deeper breathe leads to a quiet mind, and a quiet mind opens up a happy heart.

Tim is a ERYT 200 and has studied with Kate Greer and Nicole Clark and Schuyler Grant. He is currently working on an advanced certification with Sondra Loring. He is grateful for the Boston yoga community and particularly those studio owners who have provided safe space, wise guidance and and high standards. It is his honor to be able to share his practice with his students- to sweat and play and fly and maybe share a little peace.

GEORGIA REATH has been teaching yoga for over a decade and practicing since she was 20 (so not quite 2 decades!) She is a senior teacher at South Boston Yoga and founder of Blue Light Yoga, LLC. She teaches flow classes with a strong emphasis on alignment. Her roots are in the Ashtanga tradition and her intention in her own practice and teaching is to find a meditative flow that links one aligned posture to another as seamlessly and as efficiently as possible. She is known for her smart, creative and authentic sequences that are challenging yet accessible.

Through the use of repetition, pranayama, bandhas and honing in on the alignment and dynamic energy of each asana, her classes are designed to ease students into a transformative space. Georgia tries hard to acknowledge and honor all transitions that occur in her classes, whether in physical poses, state of minds, or state of beings.

ARIANA HERLINGER is organizing the logistics for this trip. She’ll answer any questions you have about the trip, the resort, and getting there. She loves yoga, snorkeling, and sunny Mexico! She’s looking forward to meeting you all south of the border!
